Good morning!
How about a classic with a twist? Perfect for those many Advent afternoon teas, playing a board game, enjoying a nice cup of Christmas tea or a delicious hot chocolate…
By the fireside, after a walk in nature or at the museum, as comforting, light as it is delicious and festive, Cécile has prepared the recipe for the chestnut-vanilla marble cake.
.

.
Ingredients :
125g of soft or melted butter over very low heat;
100g of powdered sugar
1 sachet of vanilla sugar and a teaspoon of vanilla extract
2 heaping tablespoons of chestnut cream
3 eggs
1/2 sachet of phosphate-free yeast.
.
Realization :
Mix the sugar, butter and egg yolks in a large bowl until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
.
Gradually add the flour and baking powder, mixing well. Beat the 3 egg whites until stiff peaks form and gently fold them into the batter.
Divide the batter into two bowls. Add the vanilla and vanilla extract to one bowl and the chestnut cream to the other. Line a loaf tin and fill it with the batter, spoonful by spoonful, alternating between the vanilla and chestnut batters.
Bake for 35-40 minutes in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F). The cake is done when a knife inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool on a wire rack before serving.
