Good morning !
Today, a short and sweet article…
We could have offered you 1,000 natural tips to fight the cold , but we'll leave that to the specialists!
Instead, we decided to focus on what is beautiful , bright , and warms our interiors… and our hearts.
Remember the dried orange wreath we told you about? You can also make a flat version , and it's just as pretty!
For this 16th day of the calendar, here are some sources of decorating inspiration !
1. The originality: an olive-style table
If you're a little tired of the red & gold or green & silver combination, try Mediterranean freshness this year:
-
shades of green,
-
beige,
-
soft yellow,
-
natural materials…
A delicate, soothing atmosphere, perfect for a different and elegant Christmas table.
2. Homemade natural candles
You love candles, but not industrial tea lights?
Try these small, natural oil lamps:
-
Take an orange peel and cut it in half.
-
Remove the pulp while preserving the natural wick : the small white tube in the center.
-
Soak this wick in olive oil.
-
Next, fill the shell with a little oil, leaving the wick sticking out.
-
To light it: heat the wick with a lighter or match for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
You can place the other half of the bark on top for a softer, more diffused light.
Perfect for a lovely evening ✨
3. The Christmas flower (Poinsettia)
Less well known in France than in Italy, this plant arrives in homes there as early as November, almost at the same time as the Christmas tree!
It can be found:
-
pale pink,
-
white,
-
and especially red .
With its large leaves, it immediately brings warmth and color to a room.
Advice :
-
Choose the natural one , without glitter (not very eco-friendly).
-
And if you have children or animals, keep it out of reach : its leaves can be toxic if ingested.
4. Easy-to-make wool stars
If you have some leftover yarn from the pom-poms, here's a simple idea:
-
Cut out stars from cardboard.
-
Wrap the wool around it.
The result: pretty, soft, and warm stars to place anywhere:
-
on the table,
-
in a wreath,
-
on the front door,
-
regarding gifts,
-
or in the fir tree.
