Eco-responsible brand of organic clothing for children
The founder
Camille rhymes with Camomile: which is fitting because the designer loves nature, in all seasons, and flowers of course! Her favorite? Peonies, or dahlias, or sweet peas, or perhaps nasturtiums.
Camille enjoyed sewing clothes for her daughters and knitting for her dolls before moving on to baby clothes. She is passionate about children's fashion, much to her husband's dismay. A long-time believer in organic farming, she instills the principles of ecological living in her large family, as there are six children who are fed on soybeans and steaks.
After starting out in management control, Camille distributed organic cosmetic products in Italy and Spain, then opened an organic mother and baby boutique 10 years ago in Saint Germain des Prés, before finally being able to combine her passion for children's fashion and ecology by launching risu risu in 2014 in order to create the most beautiful organic clothing possible.
...and its iconic jersey
It's not easy to find organic fabrics that meet our quality standards! So we set out to develop our own jersey to make it as soft as possible on children's skin.
Jersey is a material especially suited to children because it is very comfortable. 2 years of work, and we have obtained our exclusive jersey, double-sided and quilted with the squirrel motif, the mascot of RISU•RISU. Let us know what you think!
A guarantee of reliability for us and our customers, this jersey is certified organic by the association, both the cotton itself and the dye. It is exclusive: you won't find it anywhere else!
...made in Europe
Having our products manufactured locally is a logical commitment for risu risu and in line with the brand's values in order to reduce pollution caused by transport.
All stages of production respect this approach. We favor fabrics made in Europe,
the dyeing is carried out in France or in Europe, the production is entrusted to small family workshops in Spain.
Looking for skills rather than saving money: we believe in it and it's so much better for the impact on the planet!
...towards zero waste
Our artisanal manufacturing method allows us to make the most of each cut of fabric; small pieces such as children's underwear are cut from what remains of organic cotton dresses or blouses .
We offer our customers the opportunity to receive fabric samples in the smallest scraps. We encourage our customers who are getting into clothing rental; the circular economy is the future!
the mascot
The squirrel is the wild animal of our regions. It is agile, its tail is very soft and it knows how to perfectly manage the riches that nature offers it. And in Japanese, squirrel is called risu, pronounced
“risou” is even sweeter!
