Advent Calendar - Day 8: Eco-Friendly Decorations

Good morning !

To keep you busy and to decorate your Christmas trees even more, Risu-Risu has started making wool pom-poms. Here's a little something for you, perfect for warming hearts and homes...

.

.

Preparation :

- Wool, in any color you like, you can mix colors! The important thing is to have fairly long strands.

- Cardboard

- Round objects, such as glasses or jar lids... But a compass will also do the trick!

- Scissors

Instructions :

Cut the cardboard into 2 circles. In the center of these circles, cut out another, smaller circle; they should be the same size. You will have two small, flat donuts.

- Place the cardboard pieces on top of each other, and begin to wrap the wool around the cardboard, passing it through the small central circle.

- The wool must cover the entire cardboard. When that's done, cut the wool with scissors on the edge of the donut.

- Attach a piece of string between the two cardboard boxes, tightening it well, and remove the boxes.

- Here you have a raw pompom, you can trim the protruding strands to give it a rounder shape.

And there you have it! You can repeat this as many times as you like to decorate your Christmas tree, but you can also make garlands, bookmarks...

Trick :

If you don't have any cardboard handy, you can use a fork!

The pom-poms will be a little smaller, but just as cute!
