Couronne de l'Avent en tissu

For this festive period of Advent, we have prepared a lovely surprise for each weekend to enter the sweetness of the end-of-year celebrations with poetry and delicacy.

On the first weekend of Advent, why not mark the beginning of the sweetest wait of the year with an Advent wreath made with the children?

Cecile simply used fabric scraps from the old Christmas collections and a simple metal hanger for this effective craft. .

You need: 1 simple metal hanger Scraps of various fabrics (a harmony of 3-4 colours is ideal).

Here we have a print, tulle, plain fabric and bits of gold ribbon. How to make it: With the help of an adult, twist the hanger to obtain a shape that is as close to a circle as possible. Keep the shape at the top so you can easily hang the wreath.

Cut about 200 strips of fabric 15-17cm by 2cm and one strip 40-50cm long. Tie the pieces of fabric to the metal frame of the hanger, alternating patterns, textures and colours. At the point where the hanger hangs, wrap the long strip of fabric around the metal. Little by little the crown takes shape, it is very pretty and satisfying!
